Universal decided to strike while the iron was hot on the heels of "The Mummy Returns" with Brendan Fraser as adventurer Rick O'Connell, so they had their animation studio develop a series that wound up at Kids' WB!.
In the series premiere of The Mummy, Rick (John Schneider, Smallville) has a new problem when his son, Alex, finds the Manacle of Osiris. Then again, when the opening rolls after the first segment, it gives away the story....
Luckily, if you have NBC's new streaming service, Peacock, you can catch up, as it's part of the library.

I love it when they do kids cartoons based on PG-13 movies.
All depends on what the source material is.
I don't usually consider PG-13 movies as kids movies since they have a reputation for being quite violent and having a lot of content that can be considered as innapropriate for children under the age of 13. But kids don't usually care about what rating a movie is or what content these movies have.
PG stands for parental guidance, of course, meaning that the wee ones still have to have their parents watch with them. And not every PG-13 movie is violent.
I acknowledge that. I also love it when movie companies do PG-13 movie adaptations of kids shows such as Transformers, Power Rangers, TMNT, ETC.
