In "The Green Loontern", Duck gets a Green Lantern uniform by mistake due to the stereotypical dry cleaner mix-up, a trope that goes back years. Filmmaker Kevin Smith makes a brief appearance as Hal Jordan.

You forgot one thing about this short - VA John Stephenson who voiced Ganthet.
When watching this short for the first time, my ears pricked up - I thought, was that.....!!!
Someone must have called in a favor! To hear Stephenson in a role he would have certainly voiced had this toon been made 40+ years ago really made my day!
This wasn't actually a short. This episode took up the entire half-hour, but as you can see, it was edited down to nearly 15 minutes.
That wouldn't actually take that much editing nowadays, would it? What's the current actual program content of a 1/2 hour show, 20 minutes?
On the average, about 21-22, not including commercials, of course. A good chunk of the initial plot, where Duck had dropped off his uni at the cleaners, was left out.
