Here's a Soul Train classic performance from the incomparable Lou Rawls, performing his hit, "You'll Never Find (Another Love Like Mine)":

Can't go wrong with Lou Rawls!

This song still pops up on the radio occasionally; it only serves to remind me to add some of his material to my iPod!

Rawls was a professional through & though! I remember in an interview he gave years ago about the current crop of so called musical talent. He used to say that he never walked into a recording studio until he knew exactly what he was going to do. He'd practice until he was sure the best way to sing a song properly and didn't waste time. Apparently, younger artists (rapper/hip-hop types in particular) would waste time in the studio, claiming they were "stonewalled" and a record would take months to record and finish.

Chances are most rappers were stonewalled because they were stoned to begin with.

I've said a number of times before how the lack of continuity in Super Friends prevented the writers from considering a romantic hookup between Jayna & Robin (or, in 1984, with Firestorm). This Rawls classic would fit nicely on the soundtrack.
