I don't know exactly when this ad first appeared, but this was one of two such ads that parodied the then-common practice of excessive use of expository dialogue. Cartoon Network was able to bring back Shannon Farnon to voice Wonder Woman, with ageless wonder Michael Bell as Zan, whose sister Jayna is conspicuous by her absence. Birdman, Blue Falcon, and Zandor (The Herculoids) round out the party. These five would also be placed in a movie theatre.
Now, as I wrote when reviewing Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law, the writers were trying to suggest Zan had a crush on the Amazing Amazon. Too bad they could not have them alone for one of these spots. Then again..........
Some people find this funny. I'm not one of them.

I thought the shorts were chuckle worthy, and it was nice to hear some of the original voices again. Having grown up on superhero toons which were essentially radio plays on TV, I couldn't help but giggle whenever the heroes would announce everything single thing in dramatic fashion!
Personally, I'm glad there weren't any shorts highlighting Zan & Wonder Woman - they only would have debased the characters.
Exactly. Methinks DC suits came down on CN's clowns about that.
Now, pairing Jayna with Johnny Bravo wouldn't have been so bad. After all, he's already dated an antelope. Johnny being dumber than a broken frying pan would've made for some good jokes.......
