Valentoons: We Are In Love (2011)

From The Looney Tunes Show:

We're kicking off our 2017 Valentoons playlist with "We Are In Love", a declaration from Lola (Kristen Wiig) to Bugs Bunny (Jeff Bergman), who would eventually come around long after this video.......

There are a couple of people on the forums that I used to frequent who straight-up hated this version of Lola Bunny. Frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Fans may disagree with me, but personally, I thought that the Kristin Wiig voiced Lola was funny. At least we have a version of Lola that's actually loony! And to all of the fans who complain that The Looney Tunes Show ruined Lola, I have to ask what was so great about the old Lola?

Fun Fact: Lola was supposed to be Honey Bunny from the Looney Tunes comic books, because Honey Bunny was originally going to be in Space Jam. But the film's producers felt that Honey Bunny looked too much "like Bugs in drag", so the character's appearance was modified and her name was changed to Lola.

Seeing as how I'd never seen Space Jam in full, I figured, they needed to reboot Lola to fit her into the mix a little bit better. Seeing also as how I haven't seen every episode of Wabbit, it seems that she wasn't part of the show?

Post-Looney Tunes Show, Lola was in the DTV Rabbit's Run, though she wasn't voiced by Kristen Wiig (Wiig had other commitments). Lola hasn't appeared in any episodes of Wabbit AFAIK, but then Cartoon Network has all but buried the show, so sadly I've only caught a handful of episodes. Also, recently Amazon and Pogo have since re-christened the show as New Looney Tunes, due to the addition of more familiar characters such as Porky and Daffy.

I have Rabbit's Run, and reviewed it. Rachel Ramras, a writer for the Looney Tunes Show, took over as Lola, and did very well. Not surprised the pea-brains at Chumptoon Network, obsessed with Teen Titans Go!, buried Wabbit. Getting a new boss wasn't the answer. It's getting rid of the bean-counters and their obsession with playing TTG, as stupid as it is, into the ground.
