Game Time: Donkey Kong in How Much is That Gorilla in The Window? (1983)

From season 1 of Saturday Supercade:

A millionaire's son (Dick Beals) mistakes Donkey Kong (Soupy Sales) for a common pet store ape that Kong has just released, and buys him, unaware that two of his own servants are plotting to loot the mansion while the kid's parents are on vacation. Mario (Peter Cullen) & Pauline (Judy Strangis, ex-Goldie Gold & Action Jack) have to help Kong in "How Much is That Gorilla in The Window?".

Pedestrian.

Rating: B-.

In retrospect, it's kinda funny to see Mario portrayed as the Elmer Fudd/Yosemite Sam-esque adversary on a show, given the beloved video game icon he'd go on to become, especially since in the original Donkey Kong game, Mario (aka Jumpman) was the protagonist and character the player controlled. Saturday Supercade came out in the wake of Donkey Kong Junior, in which Mario succeeded in capturing Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong Jr. (the protagonist of the second DK game) starred in his own segments on this same show, for the first season anyway.

Junior ended up getting deep-sixed in favor of Space Ace, and I think it might be because Junior was too derivative of a certain puppy over on ABC.
