By 1956, Bud Collyer was hosting two CBS game shows, Beat The Clock and To Tell The Truth. Truth had not yet premiered by the time Collyer crossed over to I've Got a Secret in the fall of '56 to test some stunts for the Halloween episode of Clock, which would air a few days later..........
I could've waited 'til Friday (The 13th), but I couldn't resist.....

For the info of those who stuck it out through the whole show:
The credited producer here is indeed the Allan Sherman - Mr. "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" himself.
I've Got A Secret was Allan Sherman's entrée into TV production: he and a fellow comedy writer named Howard Merrill created the format and sold it to Goodson & Todman.
When IGAS went to series, Sherman joined the staff, ultimately becoming Producer, which position he held until 1958 (for details, see Allan Sherman's memoir, A Gift Of Laughter).
By the way …
… if you're watching any of the '70s Goodson-Todman shows on Buzzr or GSN, and you see the name Robert Sherman in the credits -
- that's Allan Sherman's son.
Oh, I knew Allan had created "Secret".
Robert Sherman later left G-T and developed "Baby Races" & "That's My Dog" for the then-Family Channel (now Freeform). Don't know what he's doing since. Cartoon fans know Allan Sherman as the original voice of the Cat in The Hat....
