Minnie Mouse finally gets to star in her own solo cartoon. No sign of Mickey, and Donald Duck makes a brief cameo in "Clogged".
Minnie (Russi Taylor) takes a page from Mickey's playbook when she obsesses over one of her flowers, to the point where she has to improvise a way to water the plant----with disastrous results.
Mickey would and should be proud of her, don't you think?
Rating: A.

I love these shorts. I kind of wish the artists hadn't opted to go with the 1930's look for the characters (Mickey and the gang with those white faces and bullet eyes have always looked like creepy mimes to me) but otherwise they're pretty great.
Minnie Mouse was given her own year in 1986 by the Disney company; it's about time she finally got to take center stage in an animated short.
The retro look, done with computer animation, works to a point. Seems this kind of retro is in (see also: Adventure Time, which uses a Golden Age style of some character designs), and rightfully should be.
