Michael Ungar took the theme from Magilla Gorilla and reworked it, adding some new lyrics. Cartoon Network and Boomerang have played this pretty often over the years, but with the latter channel's recent revamp, it's doubtful "Gorilla For Sale" will be used again. It'd be a crime, though.

It's truly a shame how Boomerang seems to have turned it's back on the old-school Hanna-Barbera toons. Just because the channel now wants to attract a younger audience, that shouldn't be to the exclusion of the classics. There are plenty of hours in the day and night for Boom to at least devote some non-peak viewing hours to old-school programming.
I'm with you there, Goldstar. They figure since most of the older shows are on DVD, or soon will be, they don't have to show them. BS, I say. Today's kids need to see what a real cartoon show is all about. Aside from Adventure Time, whose look is patterned after Windsor McCay to an extent, today's toons are hit & miss.
