Here's one from the lost & found file.
Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kids explain the Girls Clubs of America to their computerized boss, Mr. Socrates (John Stephenson) in this spot, uploaded by Seanmc.
Amazingly, the computer didn't sneeze in the presence of the band's dog-mascot, Elvis. Go figure.

I remember seeing this! Ironic since I was a Girl Scout!
I seem to remember similar PSAs made by existing cartoon characters pushing some group or other.
You'd think Mr. Socrates, being so smart would have known what the Girls Clubs of America was all about!
Apparently, the H-B writers dumbed him down on purpose......
I've been waiting for the WB Archive to release this series for years now. They said it was under consideration once in an online chat a few years ago - not sue if it still is, but I hope so. I have only vague memories of this show and I want to sharpen them up.
You ain't alone there, bro. With the 40th anniversary next year, maybe that's what they're waiting for.
I hope so, but I doubt that WB would wait on the 40th anniversary of a fairly obscure 1970s Saturday morning TV show. They're probably waiting until every HB series that they deem more profitable is released first. By the way, how many 1970s HB Saturday morning shows are left? They've just announced Korg 70,000 B.C., and the unreleased ones I am aware of are: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids, These Are the Days, The New Adventures of Gilligan (I know, it's Filmation but WB owns the rights and supposedly has had it in the pipeline the past few years), and Clue Club. Any others?
You have to factor in the shows Sony owns (Jeannie, Goober & The Ghost Chasers) in the mix, and Sony's in no hurry to release them on DVD.
As for 70's H-B, holiday specials like their Thanksgiving & Christmas syndies haven't seen the light of day on DVD, I think. Likewise, the output the studio produced for CBS' Famous Classic Tales.
"Goober and the Ghost Chasers" is actually available via the WB Archives. I guess having the Partridge Kids guest-starring in most episodes wasn't a big deal to Sony. But that does bring up "The Partridge Family 2200 A.D." which Sony does own. They released 2 episodes on the first season set of the Partridge's live action show, but never released the full series. Maybe they'll sublicense it out to WB.
"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids" has just been released by Warner Archive, according to TVShowsOnDVD,com. Now if they could just get "These Are The Days" and "The New Adventures of Gilligan" released, I'd be in Nostalgia heaven.
So I've read, via Ivan Shreve's Thrilling Days of Yesteryear. Personally, I wouldn't mind the 1968 Batman series being issued on DVD, preferably yesterday.......!
Yeah, I don't know what the holdup is on that one, considering Superman, Aquaman, and all their companion shows are already on DVD, and the later Filmation Batman series is also available. I have no interest in the later series because of Batmite, but I would love to have the 1968 series (and the 1966 live Batman series too, of course)!
