Coming Attractions: Marvel's Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur are coming to Disney Channel

A few years ago, Marvel Comics revived one of Jack Kirby's more unusual creations of the 70's, Devil Dinosaur, with one big twist. Instead of Moon Boy, Devil Dinosaur is now in the hands of teenage genius Lunella Lafayette, hence Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur, which debuts on Disney Channel & Disney+ next month.

The trailer explains a few things.

While the character designs might resemble the work of Genndy Tartatovsky, it's actually Titmouse handling the animation. Emmy & Tony winner Laurence Fishburne, a comics fan, had read the original Devil Dinosaur books as a youth, and obtained the rights to adapt the current books in conjunction with Disney. He is credited as series co-creator, executive producer, and will voice the Beyonder, who will appear in the series. As of now, six episodes are on the docket for the 1st season.

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur, another comedy-adventure series from Marvel, debuts on Disney Channel February 10, and drops on Disney+ 5 days later.
