How can you confuse a mouse with a kangaroo?
That was the basic plot in all of Hippety Hopper's appearances, usually with Sylvester. Exhibit A is "Hop, Look, & Listen":
Shame Hippety Hopper wasn’t prominently featured in Looney Tunes Cartoons. I guess he’s not much of a household name like the other McKimson characters (namely Foghorn Leghorn and the Tasmanian Devil).
I think part of the problem was the Hippety was a 1-joke character, and that joke was played into the ground rather quickly.
In his defense, Hippety DOES look more like a giant mouse than a kangaroo.
Hence the joke.
