If you've never heard of the U-No bar, and chances are this would be the case, because I had never run across it until the following ad, I can well understand. A small candy company landed a distribution deal with Ralston Purina in 1974 to make the product available across the country.

California based Annabelle Candy acquired U-No in 1978, but it appears that the product remains a regional entity.
