The CW's Powerpuff has its Jojo. No Mojo.

 As the subject indicates, the CW's reboot of The Powerpuff Girls has been rechristened Powerpuff, and in the last 24 hours, the producers have cast both Professor Utonium and arch-foe Mojo Jojo. Except that there's no Mojo to this Jojo.

While Donald Faison (ex-Scrubs) landed the role of Professor Utonium, Greg Berlanti, Diablo Cody, and staff have decided that Jojo will be------human. Nicholas Podany (ex-Hart of Dixie) has been cast.

Part of the humor of Powerpuff Girls stems from Mojo Jojo's overuse of expository dialogue to explain his plots. I can't see that here. Now, the series is shaping up as just. Another. CW. Show. From the network that has seen 2nd year crime drama Nancy Drew sink to a new low in ratings (0.0) in the overnights after last night's episode (Riverdale, in its finale before it takes a 3 month hiatus, returning in July, wasn't much better, doing a 0.1), you'd think they would try to break the formula and try something different. Right now, I'm not trusting Team Berlanti to keep Him and Fuzzy Lumpkins, a pair of villains that virtually demand the use of CGI, from being cast as humans as well.

This ain't an April Fool's joke, kids. This is a nightmare.

Gee, it's almost as though trying to turn a fun kids' cartoon with a lot of silly, wacky stuff into a gritty, angsty, melodramatic live-action Y.A. drama is a patently stupid idea.

The CW may have inadvertently created the comedy hit of the season; this'll likely be unintentionally hilarious.

More and more, this show is sounding like hot garbage, and some people are going to tune in, just because it's hot garbage.

It would've made more sense in hindsight to pass on Powerpuff and try to option Johnny Bravo. That Elvis impersonating himbo would've been a better fit for the peabrains at the CW.

So that's what he's been doing lately? Sounds like he wasn't consulted bout Powerpuff.

Indeed. I can understand why he chose Netflix to make KC instead of DTVA, especially after what the higher-ups put him and the Wander fans through. I still have hope that he may return someday to tend to that unfinished business, though.

What I learned from Dave Thomas, who’s once again working alongside Craig, is that future episodes of KC will have S3-related Easter eggs, most especially the series finale. Unlike Disney, Netflix is letting Craig tell as much of the story as he wants, and apparently, he only wanted 3 seasons.

About the name for the CW show... Powerpuff? More like Powersnuffed.

I wonder who they are going to cast to play HIM or the other villains.

Right now, Steven, I don't want to think about it.

@MisterSig: I'd call it Powernerfed.
