We've established that Lorenzo Music (Peter) left the show to do Garfield & Friends. Truth be told, he has one generic character voice that he used for both Peter & Garfield.

In one of television's great ironies, it was the network that dropped Lorenzo Music from the part after Bill Murray (the live-action Peter Venkman) complained that Music's Venkman sounded too much like Garfield. Doubly ironic since years later Murray himself voiced Garfield in 2 live-action/animation hybrid movies.
ABC made the call? I'd think DIC & Columbia would've done that.
