Lynn Ahrens wrote and sang "Three Ring Government" for Schoolhouse Rock in 1979. It looks, though, as if they went to different animators for this one, as this doesn't look like the earlier videos.
Would that a copy of this video be forwarded by Express Mail to the White House.......

Yes, someone needs to forward this to Washington, and loop the part of the song that goes "Everybody's act is part of the show/And no one's job is more important". Checks and balances, people. And while we're at it, let's send a copy of another America Rock classic, "No More Kings".

Carter was in office when Three Ring Government was introduced. Today, it's worse, as Trump wants to control the narrative, but he's falling apart mentally.
From the book about SHR, I learned that there was some resistance to releasing this one as it might have been seen as mocking the government. How times have changed.
It was meant to educate, not humiliate.
