Animated World of DC Comics: Green Arrow vs. Cupid (2014)

DC Nation is no more, but the shorts produced for the now-defunct block are still being used as filler in between episodes of Teen Titans GO!, which is being played to death by the idiots at Cartoon Network.

Will Friedle (ex-Boy Meets World, Kim Possible, Thundercats) voices the Emerald Archer, who in these cartoons has a bow with an artificial intelligence (Kevin Michael Richardson). As bad as it sounds. Seems to me the jabroni who wrote this thought it'd be funny to tweak Marvel's Iron Man by giving GA a sentient bow for a sidekick.

Come to think of it, this might come from the same morons (i.e. Michael Jelenic) responsible for the continued atrocity known as Teen Titans GO!. Anyway, in this piece, GA meets Cupid. For all the wrong reasons.

I'd say they should quit while they're ahead, but I don't think they're ahead in anything right now.

Rating: C-.

It's disheartening that 'Teen Titans GO!' is all that remains of DC Nation. Pity, the block had such potential; even the weakest DC Nation shorts are still better than the average episode of GO!.

DC Nation might have been born too late; if the block had arrived during the mid-to-late 90's/early '00's era of Toonami and Miguzi, it might have thrived; CN's audience and exces were more receptive to action titles back then.

So, aside from Christina Miller, CN is under the thumb of a joyless, clueless jabroni (Rob Sorcher), who has his audience thinking that the horrid "comedy" of Teen Titans GO! actually is funny when it isn't. Regular Show & Adventure Time are, shall we say, more sophisticated than that.

As for "Cupid", how bad do you think it was?

Hard to say, as I'm not familiar with this Cupid character. Is this her usual M.O., or is the short exaggerating things? I can't get too mad of Wil Fridele or Kevin Micheal Richardson, as those guys are awesome, though giving GA talking sentient bow is tad too wacky.

Not familiar with Cupid either in this context, but as I wrote in the review, I'd say Jelenic and his idiot staff had their hands in the cookie jar on this one.

Oh, come on people, this was funny! Where's your sense of humor?

If that's funny, I'd rather be watching grass grow.
