I guess those guys couldn't land a gig on their homeworld, so this is how they pay their dues, and as Ringo Starr taught us a few years earlier, you've got to pay your dues if you want to sing the blues. Prison blues, in this case.

I couldn't halp but notice how it wasn't enough to have villians who were young punks, but also rockers!
This was also used in an episode of the "New Scooby Doo Show" (1976) with the villian drawn to resemble a Kiss reject.
I remember that one. One of these fine days I may just pull that one up for kicks. In hindsight, this should've merited more time, and is an example of how not to cram so much into 6-7 minutes.
I think that Scooby Doo episode was a 1978 one, but yeah it was a pretty good one. Thankfully it's now on DVD(which I have)
The Scooby episode that Magicdog was referencing was I believe from 1976. I'm thinking of saving that one for October, assuming, of course, I can find it uploaded in one piece.
