Danny Wells might be best known for playing Luigi on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show at the end of the 80's, and had worked for the show's producers, DIC, on Heathcliff & The Catillac Cats (aka Cats & Company) a few years earlier. While Heathcliff was in production, Danny had a recurring role as a bartender on The Jeffersons. Betcha didn't know that.
Here, Danny sings the praises of K-Mart in this spot for a regional grand opening. Look quick for Johnny Haymer (M*A*S*H) in a quick cameo.
Unless I'm wrong, Danny might've been the voice of Riff Raff in the Cats & Company shorts.

Danny Wells didn't voice Riff-Raff; he was voiced by Stanley Jones. However, as you stated, Danny Wells did perform some voice overs on Heathcliff. He voiced Heathcliff's Pop in one short, and he even voiced Leroy the junkyard dog (instead of Leroy's usual voice actor) in a single short titled "Yes, Sewer, That's My Baby", IIRC.
Danny Wells also voiced Bush the dog on Cadillac Cats. How could I have forgotten that?
Stanley Jones also voiced Wordsworth. Like, who'd ever think the guy who voiced Lex Luthor on Challenge of the Super Friends was also doing comedy? Thanks for clarifying for me, Goldstar.
