Saturday Morning's Forgotten Heroes: Astro & The Space Mutts vs. Galactic Vac (1981)

From Space Stars:

Astro & The Space Mutts get sucked into another goofy adventure when they take on the robotic Galactic Vac (Frank Welker).

This was the kitchen break of the show, it was so bad.

Rating: C.

Throughout Space Stars' run, Astro & The Space Mutts only ever appeared in a single Space Stars Finale (crossover mission with the other heroes on the show), and it's not hard to imagine why: these guys were so stupendously incompetent they made the Galaxy Goof-Ups look like brain surgeons.

Consiering that Yogi Bear fronted the Goof-Ups, well.......

And for once viewers could understand what Astro Jetson said!

That's because Don Messick (Astro) cut back on the dog-speak to effect a legible conversation with the other dogs and Space Ace.

I always wondered what TPTB at HB were thinking by having this toon lumped together with the rest of the Space Stars! They stuck out compared to the rest and made about as much sense as having Young Sampson paired with the Space Kiddettes!

Young Samson and Space Kidettes were actually separated by a year, but packaged together in syndication because no one wanted them otherwise.
