Here's a simple teaching tool from the early years of Sesame Street. A man (Gary Owens, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, Perils of Penelope Pitstop, etc.) holds up an image of the letter "i", only to be heckled by an unseen party.....
This wouldn't play the same way nearly 50 years later, unfortunately.

Yeah, I can imagine some overly sensitive types wanting to clamp down on this spot claiming that resorting to violence (even though it happened off screen) to resolve your problem as being Politically Incorrect, but I remember watching that spot as a kid and thinking that it was pretty darn funny!
I never saw this initially, but thought I'd post it since I hadn't done an alphabetic piece in a while. Amusing, but would need to be revamped for today's audience of not so much kids, but hypersensitive parents and teachers.....

That's just how things are these days sadly. As a kid, I probably knew from right and wrong and a segment like this would've seem like a joke the way the off-camera guy was being such a pest about it.
This kind of humor is lost on the current generation, and, more specifically, a certain man-child in Washington.......
Sad really.
These are sensitive times we live in, Chris.
I suppose. I wish people had thicker skin.
Most of us do. The problem is too many of the thin skinned types are in high profile positions...
