While getting an active baseball player (Mike Piazza, then with the Mets) was fine, a pop singer such as Lindsay Pagano wasn't the smartest idea, since she's disappeared off the pop radar since then.

To revive the movies now requires finding current celebrities who might also be fans. Of course, Freddie Prinze, Jr. & Sarah Michelle Gellar, who starred in the 2 live-action movies, would be easy picks, and since two of their castmates (Matt Lillard & Linda Cardellini) worked on SDMI, a reunion ain't that far-fetched.....hobbyfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08089664500077967952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-365564334433777661.post-67709204496059272372013-04-24T18:30:53.856-04:002013-04-24T18:30:53.856-04:00I wouldn't mind a revival of the "New Mov...I wouldn't mind a revival of the "New Movies" format, but if the selection of guest stars from WNSD is any indication, the studio honchos don't know how to correctly pick their guest stars.

The SD movies had such great entertainers who are well known to more than one generation: Phillis Diller Jonathan Winters, Sonny & Cher, Mamma Cass Elliot, Don Knotts among others.

The WNSD had Lindsay Pagano. WHO IS SHE??? No one knows or cares!

At least Weird Al was a more appropriate choice for the Batman short!

If Phyllis Diller had had an animated show back in the day, I would have watched! It could have been interesting to have written a premise around her stage character.magicdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10755186050643383954noreply@blogger.com
