It's a cool title that proves Tonto more than a mere assistant to Kemo Sabe, since in solo stories Tonto pretty much can do by himself anything the Ranger does. One thing those comics have over this cartoon is that when Tonto talks or thinks to himself, it's in perfect English, the implication being he's actually using his native language.
