Indeed, the writers blew chance after chance at creating hookups for Jayna, first with Robin, as we've both noted, and, later, with Ronnie Raymond, 1/2 of Firestorm, who instead was hung up on Wonder Woman for some reason, same as Darkseid.

What fools these mortal writers be!hobbyfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08089664500077967952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-365564334433777661.post-71030087087724813492013-10-08T10:48:54.290-04:002013-10-08T10:48:54.290-04:00Back then I had noticed this and a few other, show...Back then I had noticed this and a few other, shows seethed with pseudo feminism. Upon rewatch, Jan is reworked into a feminist who thinks women can do anything a man can do, while Jace suddenly becomes an ignorant chauvinist pig. These were not the characters I fell in love with! If the writers cared more (or perhaps the suits they served had) it would have been far more fair and realistic to have had the twins quibble from time to time but still have their own strengths and weaknesses.

I always liked the coupling of Jan and Kid Comet - I hope should a reboot of SG ever come to pass, that it makes its way into it!

As for Jayna & Robin - maybe. He did have an eye for alien chicks after all!

I couldn't help but feel that Robin wasn't often seen as "the kid" in other SF adventures especially when you consider he was about the same age as other teen sidekicks. Wendy & Marvin were only about 2-3 years younger than he was (approximating since they couldn't drive yet - so say aged 14), and we know Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond) was about 18.magicdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10755186050643383954noreply@blogger.com
